Jenny slipped away (with us holding her) on March 2 after 14 healthy,
happy years.
She was one of the most beautiful, sweet tempered dogs I have ever
seen. Her gentle disposition and enthusiasm for life, endeared
her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and our lives but our
memories will last forever.
I thank you for sharing these two spectacular creatures with us.

Hi Judy,
Kiley said she had previously emailed you, but I wanted
to follow up and let you know how much we are enjoying having Rigby as
part of our family! We continue to get multiple glowing comments
about her looks and coloring, but was has impressed us most of all
about her is her sweet, sweet personality. Even though she is
still a puppy, she has a great, calm demeanor with everyone she meets.
Every day she makes us laugh or smile at something she does.
Thank you so much!
Christopher King and Kiley O'Neill
OK JUDY, THIS IS THE BEST PUPPY I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!
We will name him SKYLON OZZY AMBROSE.
He is so calm and collected, he is great with the kids, he has been
inside
with us and has only barked to go out and go potty! He is very good! I
am
currently at work with him, he is doing great! I have a nice sized
office
and he has been at my feet all morning! I think he may be my new best
friend and the kids will just have to deal with it. Anyway I will get
a
check out tonight and try to get you a tracking ID so you can now when
to
expect delivery!
Anyway I have pictures and will get them to you tomorrow! I could not
be
any happier with the choice you made for us!
PS I will take him to the IABCA dog show in June on the 28-29. I don't
know
much about it but Diane is going to help me and she thinks it will be
great
for the entire family to get involved, so I will keep you posted on
this!
THANKS SO MUCH!!!!
Hi Judy,
I cannot believe that it has been almost 2 years since Santo came to
live with us. I also cannot describe to you how much we adore him.
He is the epitomy of friendship, loyalty, affection. Who could
believe all this from a canine??
I can, and my family as well.
I am writing because I have been to your website and have noticed
that Santo's father, Gulliver, has been bred to White Oleander. She
looks absolutely lovely!!!! We are tentatively thinking of
adding to our family and can imagine what a wonderful addition
a pup from Gulliver would make!
Are you taking reservations yet on this soon -to -be litter?
Regards,
Danette Smith
Hi.
I just thought I would share an updated picture of Darwin. She just
loves sitting by the lake at our cottage watching the waves roll in.
Darwin is now one year old....and still just perfect! She weighs about
60lbs and I think looks just great.
Thanks again for our wonderful girl.
Nicole

Hi Judy
I have just printed out a page from your web site to give to someone
in Bethel, CT who saw Gracie and wanted info. on where we got her.
I also just got the registration papers - thanks.
Gracie is a joy. She is a beautiful dog and with her long ears
and sweet face ... she reminds me of a little lamb sometimes.
We are going to obedience classes and she is the youngest one there
but is a quick learner.
When we got home it only took about 3 minutes to housebreak her ...
we have a large temple bell hanging on the dog to her yard and she
rings it when she wants to go out. It works like a charm.
She is now 4 months old (I will send a pix one of these days) and is
26#. She goes everywhere with us and is a joy to travel with.
We love her so much and she often brings our other two Skylon
beauties to mind, with her wonderful disposition and quick mind.
Thank you again for raising such wonderful puppies.
We'll keep you updated. Stay well.
Hi Judy,
Pure joy… that’s what you’ve sold us!
Madeline is a delight every moment of the day,
and even through the night now that she sleeps happily in her crate.
She has exceeded my expectations in these first few days, and has
settled in beautifully. She’s had a steady stream of
visitors, bearing gifts. Everyone admires her darling
personality, and she is so devoted to the kids already. Quick
question: what should I use to clean the brown stuff inside her
ears? There isn’t a lot, but I’d like her to get used to
my caring for her ears.
Hope you and Gulliver had a good day out
yesterday.
Cheers,
Marsha
Hello Judith,
I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that Aspen
(Oleander & Guliver's August 12th litter boy pup) is an ANGEL!
He has adjusted so well and he is a wonderful little guy! He is
going to be big. The vet expects him to get to around 85 pounds. He
is such a joy. Thanks so much for your wonderful breeding. I am
extremely happy with him. The other animals (Dakota, you may recall
- another british cream and Chloe, a cat) absolutely love him.
Again, thanks so much for such a great little fella :).
Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Our beautiful baby's name is Zayn Tyson.
Thankyou again for allowing us to adopt him. He is so loved already
and clearly enjoying his life here. I forgot to mention to you on
the phone that he has not had an accident in the house! He also has
slept through the night right from the start. I will send pictures
soon. Maida
Hi Judy,
How are you? Hope all is well.
I just wanted to update you on our
beautiful Sophie.
She really is a sweet girl! The
kids love her and she is so gentle with them. She's not too
big. She weighs only 40 lbs at 5 and a half months old.
She will be graduating from Puppy
classes next week. She did very well and is a quick
learner. We take her on two, hour long walks a day where
she's
made lots of friends at the park.
Surprisingly she's not much of a chewer(hope I haven't spoken too
soon) but she loves her bones and the occasional
slipper. She's lost most of her
baby teeth and her adult teeth are all coming in nicely.
She did well with the house training
too. She hasn't had an accident in the house for almost a
month now.
So I just wanted to thank you again
Judy. She's been a wonderful addition to our family.
We just love her to pieces.
Here is a picture of Henry on
January 1st. He is 48 pounds of beautiful boy. We
love him and he is training so well. We sits, lays down,
shakes a paw, waits when he is served dinner etc. He loves
to snowshoe up at the lake off leash with all that land and
freedom. We just love him and the kids still can't wait to
see him in the morning and rush home to him after school.
He is so well behaved during soccer games - meaning he can go
where ever we go.
Everyone is drawn to him - what a
breed!! Even my friends who thought we were nuts to get a
dog are crazy for him.
Thanks for Henry.
Brenda
Hi Judy,
It's Karen MacDonald we got our dog
Mulligan (born August 22, 2003) from you. Skylon's Impetuous
Mulligan. He is an absolute joy. He's the best dog
we've ever had. He's perfect for us, he has high energy for
his walks with Mark but is very loving and likes to snuggle with
me on the couch. He's very well trained. We did work with him but
he's incredibly smart. He doesn't really do anything wrong.
He never chewed. He's been really healthy except for the tummy
problems he had as a puppy. We don't have kids so he's
pretty spoiled. I just work part time 5 minutes from home so he's
not really on his own a lot.. We are thinking about getting
another puppy but we don't want to do anything to upset Mulligan.
We wanted to see what you thought. Is he too old now or
should we wait until he's older or does it matter? We've heard
from other people that have gotten a puppy when they already had a
dog and they said that there is abit of an adjustment at first but
then they become the best for friends.
Anyway Judy, we thought we'd go to
the expert, let us know what you think we'd like to get another
puppy but the first priority is Mulligan's happiness.
Thanks.
Karen and Mark MacDonald
Hi Judy,
Thought you'd like to hear an update on how Finley is doing in his
new home.
We can't imagine making a better choice of a puppy. He is SO
well behaved it is incredible. The calm temperment we saw in
your house is exactly what we have at home with a healthy dose of
the usual puppy curiosity. The result is he has been exploring
all of his new surroundings close to our sides and without getting
in any type of trouble. I will admit that it probably has
something to do with us as well as the more experience you have
raising a puppy the better you probably are at it, but really I
think most of it has to come from him. He is incredibly calm
and it blows people away when they meet him for the first time that
he "is that well trained". Only we know that we
really haven't done anything training wise yet.
He walks very well on his leash and Duncan has picked up his stride
a little to keep up. Finley likes to walk in a heel position
already although he does have a tendancy to want to change sides
which puts him underfoot so we have a little work to do there.
He seems to have learned his name already and also is getting pretty
good at come and sit. Stay will take a little longer to teach!
There has only been one accident in the house and today he actually
asked to be let outside and then promptly did his pee on the grass.
Pretty good progress there. Also good news is that he loves
his kennel cage (whether at my house or my mom's) and runs right in
and plops down. When we do close the door at night or when we
go out there is not a peep from him. I have enjoyed two very
quiet nights of sleep in a row, and when I wake up have even been
able to have my shower before coming down to see him. I let
him out, he trots straight to the back door and then outside to do
his thing. Seems like he is getting well established in all
the routines already.
He is very good with Duncan and Duncan with him. He has yet to
torment Duncan in any of the usual puppy ways - biting ears, tail
etc. - and only offers Duncan the occaissonal big wet puppy kiss on
the face. He follows Duncan around the house and yard, walks
well with him, and plops down against him to nap. Duncan has
shown a lot of patience and tolerance with him and has shared all
his toys and of course the attention very well. We couldn't
have imagined it working better!
We had him to the vet today and they were quite impressed with both
his temperment and his health. The vet does favour neutering
so we are going to be differing with her there as we are committed
to holding the course we discussed with you barring any health or
unalterable behavioural problems. I may just lie to her and
tell her that you have asked to have us keep him intact to use for
breeding. That might save us the grief of an ongoing debate
with her.
Anyway, I wanted you to know that all is very well with Finley in
his new life. We are taking the usual ton of new puppy photos
so at some point we will be sending more your way. I should
add one more thing - like Duncan, Finely fancies himself a lap dog
and constantly wants to be in physical contact with us - leaning
against a leg, lying down on a foot, or if invited onto the couch
head in your lap. It is beautiful.
Thanks again and all the best to you, your family and your dogs!
Larry
Hi Judy,
Hope all’s well with you and your lovely
dogs. Attached are some pictures of Maddy (taken at 10 mons.).
I think she looks a lot like Ikea…especially her profile.
She’s now a year old and weighs in at a delightful 54 lbs. She
was spayed this week, and is recovering nicely. We continue to
enjoy her quirky personality. She is obedient, and has become the
perfect house dog… even though she has “furniture”
privileges, and sometimes thinks she is a lap dog. We
can’t imagine our household without her. She’s a beauty and
gets tons of compliments from people when we are out with her, and
I always credit you for breeding such a lovely dog.
Thanks again,
Marsha
Hi Judy,
Thanks for the registration papers for Finley. I have been
meaning to write you for quite some time to tell you how well
Finley is doing but never seem to get around to it. He is a
fantastic dog and we are very satisfied.
He and Duncan continue to get along really well and Duncan has, I
think, been very helpful in helping him be calm in the house.
He is very good and really has been in no trouble. He sleeps
in my room with Duncan and the only time we have to use the crate
is during the day if we go out and leave the dogs behind. He
and Duncan get to the big leash free park on the lake near the
Mississauga/Oakville border once or twice a day for about an hour.
Finley has helped to pick Duncan up enough that that amount of
exercise does not appear to much for him and for Finley it is a
chance to run and play we lots of new friends he has made. I
have had him in to the school already to meet the kids and he was
a club mascot at a couple of regattas this summer. He also
spent some time with me in the coach boat helping to coach some of
the crews at the club.
He has a voracious appetite but we are resticting his caloric
intake as per your feeding instructions. He is lean and
muscular looking and the vet says he is growing very well.
He loves his food and his treats - chicken thighs, backs or necks
and some green - broccoli, cauliflower, carrots etc. Unlike
Duncan who watches us eat our dinner with hopeful eyes hoping we
save some for him, Finley usually is asleep at our feet when we
eat.
At this point he is about 6 1/2 months old. He is quite a
tall little boy and I think he will end up being a very big dog
which is fine with us. He has quite a personality and seems
to win everyone over with his affectionate and playful nature.
I am quite pleased with his progress in the obedience training we
have done to date.
I have enclosed some photos for you. I must admit that I am
not the best photographer and, this being our third golden, we are
probably not taking as many photos as we did with the first two
just because we have been through it before. I guess we are
too busy living in the moment and enjoying our time with both dogs
to remember to take photos sometimes. Anyway here are some
of what we have taken recently. Enjoy.
Hope all is well with you, your family and your dogs. We'd
love to bring Finley up for a visit at some point if you'd like to
see him.
Regards,
Larry
Hi Judy:
Hope all is well in your golden world. Ours is fantastic!
Skylon's Falling Bruich is an absolute delight. Only yesterday
she ate the cardboard box that the wine came in. She did leave the
wine for us which was very thoughtful of her. While my husband was
cleaning up that mess she managed to grab 4
butter tarts off the table for dessert. She is just
soooooooooo cute when she is bad!
Having said that she is a very adorable and loving girl. She loves
to play and to kiss everyone who gets close to her. She charms
anyone she meets and is a constant source of entertainment.
We are so thankful to have her as part of our family. Our other
golden, Somerset adores her too and we cannot separate them. They
are so beautiful together .
Take care.
Marilyn
ps we did get the registration certificate
thanks
Hi Judy, I thought I would send you an update on our best friend
Maguire! He is the lucky pup of Sugarbush and Bentley
and he just turned 12yrs old on October 1st! He is doing
good, abit slower and his hips/back legs are starting to get
a bit weeker but he can tear the grass up good to roll around in no
problem! He has been the body guard to our two special
possesions, our boys, 10yrs old & 5yrs old. I was
soo happy to see pictures of Sugarbush and what an long life
she had..wow 16yrs is amazing, she was a beautiful dog! It breaks
my heart to think of every having to let Maguire go as he is our
very best friend and has given us soo much love over the years.
He has always been and continues to be a big talker and we love
it!!
I thought I would send you just a couple pictures and to let you
know what a wonderful family pet he has been.
Thanks
Michelle Brenner
Hi Judy,
I hope you are doing well :)
Just wanted to let you know what a
wonderful pup Skye is - she truly is my princess. Everywhere I go,
people stop and ask me where I got her....she is so laid back and
friendly, such a sweet, cuddly girl...
(Actually I think one of my friends
maybe in contact with you soon to put their name forward for a
puppy....)
Thanks again for a wonderful addition to
my family and Happy New Year to you
Nicola
Hi Judy,
Here are some pics of Willow. She is doing great and is amazing.
LOVE HER!!! Ginger is adapting to her and is starting
to train her. She loves her raw chicken. How much do I give her and
can she eat the necks. Lawrence seems to think
you said no necks. I thought you said everything even the necks. Our
food arrived on Monday. I ordered it Thursday night
so shipping is prompt. Ginger is enjoying the food and I am giving
her the portions you suggested. She has lost some
weight since Skye passed away because she isn't finishing Skye's
food. She is looking smaller to me and not as husky. She
does get plenty of exercise so that isn't an issue. Hope to hear
from you soon.
Thanks again!
Cathy
P.S. This is their third dog from me.
Hi Judy
Zoboo's first weekend at our cottage
as a roaring success...she found the lake! She is
too funny jumping through waves the first day..of course I didn't
have a camera that day. Here are a couple of pictures for
you. She has settled in really great and her
personality is beginning to shine. Everyone meeting her
falls in love . In fact a friend's parents asked me for your
email as they are very interested in possibly getting a
female from you. Enjoy the pictures.

Hi, my name is Kristen Reuel. In September 2000,
when I was 11, my family purchased a golden retriever pup from your
kennel and named her Jasmine, because she was in the "J"
litter. I think her mother may have been named Ariel. Today, after a
struggle the past year with her kidneys, and a very heartwrenching
week in which her health plummeted, we have decided to end her pain.
I just wanted to say that Jasmine was the best dog anyone could have
ever asked for, and I would give her five years off of my own life
if it were possible. She was kind to everyone around her, extremely
obedient (did not need a leash on walks at all), and exceedingly
beautiful. A lot of my friends grew up with her too, and I've
received many comments in the past few days from friends I haven't
seen in a while, hoping she gets better. They agree with me and my
family, that she was truly the best dog ever. Thank you for giving
us such a gift in
Well good evening Judith, It's Tyler and Laura
writing from Prince Edward Island! We made the move from
Kitchener at the end of May and are now settled in our new house in
PEI. We wanted to send a little update on Sadie and a few
pictures. It's been awhile. She is adapting well
to the island life, loves the salt water, and everyone who meets her
can't believe she's a Golden! Noone has ever seen such a
beautiful dog with that colour and everyone stops to meet her.
I remember you saying that the English breed of Goldens doesn't
exist out in the Maritimes, well it's true! We are certainly
loving our new house and Sadie such a big part. We hope things
are going well with you, and wish you all the best.
Take care, and we'll keep you updated from time to time.....
Tyler,Laura, and Sadie
Here is my precious girl. She is
doing wonderful and has gained 5 pounds. I couldn't be happier
with her
:)
In this pictures (taken last night) she is not happy cause she
doesn't
feel comfortable going down the basement steps but wants to go down
so
badly. She is going to have to learn really quick as she is starting
to
get too heavy to carry ;)
Thanks for the wonderful pup!!
Hi Judy,
I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that jezebel
( jesse to us) is thriving...She is in obedience classes and
responds very well. Our 9 year old golden Tanner and Jesse became
fast friends, and are often found sleeping together at the top of
our stairs.... Jesse is a little devil in angels clothing, she loves
to pull out all her toys and leave them through out the house. Her
demeanor is calm and very affectionate, unless it is puppy crazy
time. Her favourite activity is going for long walks in the woods,
where she can explore and chase anything that moves....We love her
to bits and she has been a great addition to our family.
Rest assured we love her as much as she loves us .
Take care and we will keep in touch,
Jan and Jesse

Judy,
our new boy BEAUX is doing just great. He is smart, fun and just
what the Doctor ordered for my wife Jani. She now has someone to
keep her mind off putting down our Carling. This being our 5th
Golden and 1st from you, I must say that I have not come across a
breeder with the knowledge and love for the dogs like you before. I
am telling the world about you and hope some will take the drive and
get a pup from you. Beaux is extremely smart and is walking on leash
from day two. I know that in the back of my wife’s mind she is
planning another trip to you before the summer to get a sister for
Beaux. Thanks again for the time you took in helping us pick the
right pup . I love him to bits! Best regards , Marty Handelman.
Hi Judy, I hope all is well. I got your letter and the papers last
week, very appreciated thank you. The dogs are doing great, Kandy is
working through her inhibitions and starting to come out of her
shell and be more people friendly. At Christmas we took the whole
troop to my parents in Kingston and Kandy and my Dad hit it off so
well i thought they would never leave each others side. I have
attacked a few pics for your viewing. Chloe is growing like a weed
and starting to take the role of pack leader, which Kandy may not
give up HA HA. They all have grown sooooooooooooo much its insane
but are turning into amazing dogs.
Michael
Well Judy, it is with the heaviest of hearts that I write to you our
last update, and that is we had to say good-bye to Maguire on June
30, 2011. He was just 3months shy of his 14th birthday and
our hearts are still heavy with him not here. I know
people say their dog is the best, but Maguire really was.
Our family is so sad without our buddy here but we know he is in a
better place...the rainbow bridge.
I am so thankful we came across your kennel way back when, for
your best pal, Sugarbush, gave us our best pal, Maguire. We
made sure his last few days with us were his best ever!!! We
made a nice stepping stone with his pawprint, that his boys
decorated. We took Maguire for ice cream to celebrate the boys
passing grades & we had a "camp out" &
slept in sleeping bags with Maguire on the floor the night
before we had to say good-bye. The one thing Maguire loved
to do was rip wrapping paper off gifts, so that week we also
wrapped a bunch of stuff up and let him do his stuff! Gosh,
this was by far the hardest thing we have ever had to do and it
broke all our hearts, our 7yr old especially. Being I
work from home, I miss his presence the most, he was so friendly,
warm, gentle, a great protector with an abundance of unconditional
love always!
We all miss his presence and companionship and have decided
that spring will be a good time to welcome a new addition to our
family...hope this pup knows it will have some big
"paws" to fill:)
Thank you for providing us and so many other families with a best
friend/pal!
Sincerely, golden retriever lovers forever
